BARNSTAPLE Town were forced to settle for a point as they drew 1-1 with Corsham Town and took their unbeaten run to 20 league games in the Toolstation Western League First Division.
Town were 1-0 down at half-time before James Mayne’s header drew them level. Billy Tucker missed a penalty 10 minutes from time which might have snatched the three points for Barnstaple.
Corsham were the stronger side in the opening period and and took the lead as the ball was bundled in from a free-kick.
Barnstaple dug deep in the second half and started to initiate their usual pressing game in search for the equaliser.
Mayne supplied the header from a corner that levelled the scores before Barnstaple continued to push for the winner.
Ryan Turner struck the bar and Dave Pearse missed a good opportunity before Tucker squandered the golden opportunity to the win game as his effort was saved from the spot.
