Two headers from James Mayne gave Barnstaple Town a 2-0 victory over Westbury United in the Toolstation Western League First Division.
Barnstaple made a bright start with Ryan Turner forcing a stretched save from the opposition keeper with a thundering effort.
Town forced a number of corners before hitting the opener as Mayne towered over the Westbury defence to guide home a header.
Although Barnstaple claimed their biggest win of the season, 8-0, the last time the sides met, they proved less clinical in front of goal this time out.
Mayne chalked up the second goal with another powerful header from a corner in the opening half to take Barnstaple’s goal tally to 100 for the season and his own record up to five.
Barnstaple held on to possession to ensure their unbeaten run reached 25 league games. while they also move up to second place. With Cribbs drawing 1-1 against Oldland Abbotonians, Barum are up to second place, one point behind new leaders Welton Rovers who won 1-0 at Warminster Town.
