BARNSTAPLE Town were back to winning ways as they overcame Cribbs 3-1 in the Toolstation Western League Premier Division.
Following a league draw, loss and defeat to Southern League side Poole Town in the Emirates FA Cup, Town were back in full force through Ryan Turner’s double and Aaron Harper-Penman’s finish.
A positive start saw Town take the lead after 18 minutes as they moved down the right wing before working inside to Jack Jenkins, who provided the killer through ball to Turner.
With James Mayne, Steve Oliver, Will Nicholls and Niall Heeney all away Town shown their strength in depth and continued to push forward before doubling their lead.
After 38 minutes, Jed Harper-Penman’s testing corner was dropped by the Cribbs goalkeeper and Dave Pearse pounced on the loose ball before guiding it towards Aaron Harper-Penman, who made it 2-0.
In the second half, Town’s game began to stutter. However, Jed Harper-Penman put the game to bed and grabbed his second assist of the tie by spinning the ball into the box for Turner to provide a calm finish.
Cribbs pulled one back through Jordan Yeo, but Town held out for their fourth league win of the season.
