Barnstaple Town secure sixth straight Toolstation Western League win at Hallen

BARNSTAPLE Town secured their sixth straight league win with a textbook 2-0 success at Hallen today.

Goals from Nial Heeney and Liam Gregory secured the points for Barum and handed Hallen only their second home defeat of the season.

Barnstaple jump up to fourth in the Toolstation Western Football League Premier Division with their latest success, just three points off top spot and with games in hand.

Despite being without a host of recognised defenders for the game, the visitors made the perfect start when Heeney tucked away a first minute penalty.

Barnstaple let Hallen come on to them after the goal but resolute defending kept any chances for the hosts at a premium.

The game was wrapped up just after the hour mark when Liam Gregory got his name on the scoresheet by diverting home a corner.

The win means Barnstaple have scored 11 goals and conceded none in their last three away league games.
