“That Friday feeling”
Meaning: Anticipation of the weekend after a hard working week.
Example: I’m ready for a few pints at the pub after work – I’ve got that Friday feeling.
No doubt some of you will have been at work today feeling slightly worse for wear after watching England progress to the Quarter Finals of the World Cup after beating Colombia on penalties. With a massive game for England coming up on Saturday against Sweden, and seeing many teams around the country frantically rescheduling friendly matches they had booked in for the Saturday, we are feeling rather glad that our first pre-season game falls this Friday, at home against Braunton FC.
Kick-off is at 7:45, and we hope to see as many of you as possible in attendance, admission prices are as follows: Adults £3, Seniors £2, and Children £1. Anybody wishing to do so will be able to buy their season tickets, Adults £99, Concessions £60. The clubhouse and kitchen will be open, and we will be showing the World Cup Quarter Final match between Brazil & Belgium. All in all this will be a perfect build up to a big weekend.
In other news, on Friday afternoon the FA will be making the draw for the FA Cup and the FA Trophy, details of which will be posted as soon as the draws are made. We may get a bye for the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup, as only 20 step 4 clubs will be in the draw, if so we will be in the Preliminary Round draw which also takes place on Friday, the same is the case in the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Trophy with the draw being for 28 fixtures.
COME ON BARUM !!
