Barnstaple Town Football Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Alan Phair as a club director.
Alan has accepted the invitation to become a director at the club, alongside existing directors John Edwards, and Bob Chamberlain. Alan took over as treasurer at the club this season, and has already done an excellent job for the club in his role, and as a committee member, we feel that this appointment is a very positive step, and we are pleased to have him become more involved with Barnstaple Town Football Club.
Alan had a few words to say following his appointment:
“It was a privilege to be asked to join the board at the club. I have been a regular visitor to Mill Road for the past five years since moving to the town, and since the 90’s when on holiday here, when I would sneak away from my family to catch a match.”
“Since taking over as treasurer this season, it has struck me how hard members of the committee and board have to work to support the club and I am happy to do my bit to help out”
“Away trips this season to Football Clubs in villages and outskirts of cities have convinced me that a town the size of Barnstaple should be able to sustain a club playing at Southern League level, and it’s the board’s ambition to see the club playing at the highest level of Football as possible, and to create and maintain links with the community, and work with local people and businesses to achieve these ambitions, I will do as much as I can to see the club achieve this”
Well done Alan, keep up the good work.
