BARNSTAPLE Town have been handed a home draw in the quarter-final of the Evo-Stik League Southern Challenge Cup.
After beating Paulton Rovers 2-1 at Mill Road in their third-round clash on Tuesday, Barum have been rewarded with another tie on their own turf, playing one of two Division One South and West rivals – either Shortwood United or Salisbury.
Shortwood’s home game with Salisbury was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, and will now take place on Tuesday (January 17), with the winner travelling to Barnstaple.
The tie means that, in their maiden Southern League Cup, Barnstaple are yet to leave North Devon.
Barnstaple have played both Shortwood and Salisbury once this season. They lost 1-0 at home to Shortwood and were hammered 5-0 at Salisbury.
The match will take place on Tuesday, January 31.
Other quarter-final ties are Barton Rovers v St Ives Town, Bishop’s Cleeve v Aylesbury United and Hayes and Yeading United v Chalfont St Peter.
