After a recent meeting between the Football Manager Richard Pears, the Football Secretary Jane Huxtable and Chairman Jasmine Chesters, Jane decided to step down from her role as Football Secretary as she is finding with her work and other commitments she no longer has the time to carry out the numerous duties as Secretary. Now we are in the Southern League she has found it much more challenging, and very different from when we were in the Western League.
She has also stepped down from other duties she carried out at the Club. The Chairman has paid tribute to Jane and said “I would like to take this opportunity to thank Jane on behalf of everyone at the Club for the time she has spent working as the Secretary, the job is a very demanding. I am sure that we don’t know half of what she had to do to keep everything on track. Jane has told me that she attended the Club with her Father when she was a child, so Barnstaple Town Football Club will always be part of her life. She knows that she is very welcome here at any time to watch her local team play.
In the meantime Dave Cooke has stepped in to the role as Secretary.
